Updated  face covering policy (as of 5/5/2021)
-Offensive players (batters and baserunners) are no longer required to wear face coverings.
-Defensive players are no longer required to wear face coverings.  *(At the minors and majors levels, when an umpire is positioned behind home plate, the position of catcher, would still be required to wear a face covering.  When the umpire is positioned behind the pitcher's mound, the position of catcher is not required to wear a face covering).
-All players should still bring a face covering to games and practices, as face coverings are still required for players when they are in the dugout.
-While BRLL can no longer require face coverings for players in most situations, parents can still have their own child(ren) wear face coverings at all times, if they wish.
-Coaches / volunteers / umpires, would be required to follow the same guidance while on the field and in dugouts.

QUESTION: If an infielder is holding a runner before the pitch, do both parties need a face mask on?  Does the base coach?

ANSWER: No they do not have to. They are not within 6 feet of each other for a total of 15 minutes.
